FAQs

HOW MANY TIPIS WILL I NEED?

The number of tipis you will need will depend on how you are planning to use your tipis but as a guide, we suggest up to a maximum of 70 can be seated in one tipi, 120 in 2 tipis and 150 plus in 3 tipis. Please have a look at our floor plan for ideas on numbers seated or standing. Please do feel free to call us if you would like further guidance.

WHAT SIZE ARE THE TIPIS?

The tipis measure 10.3 metres in diameter with the sides down and just over 13 meters with the sides raised.

WHAT DO I NEED TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A SITE?

We would suggest a site visit to ensure that everything has been considered before the event. As long as the area is flat and there is proper access for trucks and trailers, then it should be straightforward. Some factors to consider for your costings so are the provision of services, i.e.: loos, water and power.

WHAT DO I NEED TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A SITE?

We can set the tipis up on tarmac or hardcore but we would need to drill into the ground which we would need permission to do. We are not able to set the tipis up on concrete.

ARE THE TIPIS WATERPROOF AND WINDPROOF?

Our tipis are built to withstand all weather conditions. They are very strong and very durable. The only time wind can be an issue is when we are setting them up but we try to plan ahead if that is the case.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET THE TIPIS UP?

It depends on how many tipis are being linked together but on average it takes a team of 3 people, 6 to 8 hours to set up an event with 3 tipis. This also varies depending on how much interior decoration is required.
